Getting your test results
Blood and Urine test results are normally available after 4 working days, although some specialists test may take longer.
X-rays take 2 weeks to be sent to the doctor.
Cervical smear results are normally back within 7 working days however, you will receive a result through the post.
Please phone after 11.00am for results. Results will only be given to the patient and you may be asked to confirm your identity for security purposes.
The doctor will state whether the results are normal or abnormal and what further action is required, if any. Results can be abnormal but not require any further action so please do not worry if this is the case.
Samples:
Please hand any samples into reception before 2pm Monday to Friday.
Please also ensure that all bottles are labelled correctly with the patients full name and date of birth.
